Dana Lee, Rena Vee, and Alissa Arnason met on a fateful night in a one hundred year old log cabin. They bonded over their love of a good time and the importance of an ole fashioned honky tonk. So, as a reference to the legendary good-timing, song-singing, heel-stomping Honky Tonk Angels before, The Angels were born.
Dana Lee’s got the perfect recipe for hard-hitting country-folk confessionals. Her sound is informed by Dana’s early musical experiences: playing in an old-timey bluegrass band; participating in break-out jam sessions with her musical extended family; and honing her powerful voice singing Mennonite hymns in three-part harmony.
Rena Vee writes folk music with a country edge- songs that break your heart and put it back together again. She delivers an effortless style of songwriting, moving from a romantic night on the dance floor to the fragile beauty found in loss. She currently lives on Sinixt Territory in the Slocan Valley, but loves the call of the open road, and playing music wherever she can. Influenced by the landscapes of the stark prairies she originates from.
Alissa Arnason has created a sound that only miles on the highway and years of getting back up and trying again can bring. Her songs cover everything from her lifelong career as a good time girl, early childhood on the family farm, and the emotional trials and tribulations of heartache.
Come listen to the sounds of three harmonious heavenly voices.
